ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns for various types of entities
• Assist with the flow of information between the account & its clients
• Data input through Xero/MYOB and Microsoft 365 suite accounting system
• Prepare draft Financial Statements, including Depreciation Schedules
• Attend to business entity set-up and registration
• Ensure consistent error-free, professionally presented work, compliant with procedures and systems
• Participate in internal and external training as required
• Maintain current files and records accurate, and date any actioned and detailed file notes
• Prepare workflow reports for clients
• Perform other duties that the client and management may require

Minimum competencies

• CA/CPA qualified (or currently completing)
• Experience in the Australian Public Practice Accounting industry
• Proactive and Enthusiastic
• An aim to constantly learn and develop both personally and as a professional
• Ability to delegate and manage your time efficiently
• Exposure to a range of tax, accounting and business matters
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail Previous experience in collaborative environments

Minimum qualifications

• Must have bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Must be detail-oriented
• With excellent communication skills
