Functional overview
The position of Association Network & Engagement Officer (ANEO) is critical in cultivating and animate a vibrant and well-informed membership, willing and able to assume its responsibilities and engage in key debates about humanitarian action, with the view of providing ongoing guidance to the Organization and the Movement.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the stimulation of associative dynamics within the region
- Build and strengthen regional associative networks to achieve strong associative connections with local communities, peers and other entities
- Identify and recruit members to ensure sustainability of the association and the Board and manage membership database in accordance with legal and institutional requirements
- Lead and manage efficiently a well-established network of representation Association in the region, including working with focal points, other entities (Associations and missions) and the overall Movement
- Develop and implement all Associative engagement related strategies and plans
- Jointly responsible for ensuring meaningful discussions through the organisation and implementation of all associative events
- Foster meaningful membership engagement that encourages members to take ownership of the Association and take part in the governance process
- Ensure that key activities, issues and development of the Movement, and regional/local community are kept track of by the Association and the Board

- Bachelor degree or relevant work experience
- Genuine interest in, understanding of and commitment to the humanitarian principles, social mission, operations, and challenges of the organization
- 3 to 5 years working experience preferably in database management, internal communications or relevant areas; preferably 1 year NGO experience
- Knowledge of, and interest in volunteers engagement and the values of non-governmental organization
- Experience in event planning and/or technical support to meetings and events
- Excellent communication skills including public speaking, networking, cross-cultural awareness and sound knowledge of using communication tools
- Excellent oral and written fluency in English
- A self-starter with stress tolerance, flexibility ability to handle large volumes of work, and track multiple projects and support multiple groups or activities at any one time
- Flexibility to work additional/out of hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and willingness to travel
- Excellent oral and written fluency in Bahasa/Tagalog/other Southeast Asian languages (preferred)
