Job Summary:
The Data Entry Clerk will perform routine data entry and verification tasks within our company databases
and computer systems, primarily Payfactors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date and useable information in our systems.
• Inserts, updates and maintains accurate data (both text and numerical) on computer systems within
time limits.
• Compiles, verifies accuracy and sorts information according to priorities to prepare source data for
computer entry.
• Reviews data for deficiencies or errors.
• Corrects any incompatibilities if possible and checks output.
• Generates reports, stores completed work in designated locations and performs backup operations.
• Maintains files of source documents or other information relative to data entered.
• Assists in or performs the filing and storage of security and backup data files.
• Keep information confidential.
• Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
Experience:
• 1-2 years of data entry, copywriting, or relevant experience preferred.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail and familiarity
with spreadsheets, online forms, Word and PDF documents.
• 40+ words per minute, as required, is expected.
• You will work primarily within the Customer Onboarding and Education Department, specifically Job Description Manager (JDM).
• Oral and written communication skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise. Clerical skills. Detail
oriented.
• Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk.
• Experience with MS Office and data programs.
• Familiarity with administrative duties.
• Typing speed and accuracy.
• Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Attention to detail.
• Confidentiality.
• Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
• High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
