The Director of Operations, Philippines, will lead the expansion of the Glass Lewis office in the Philippines. He or she will work closely with leaders from Research, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and IT to help set up an office and oversee facilities and vendors to scale our global research coverage of public companies. He or she will also work with other department leaders to support various corporate functions as the Glass Lewis Philippines office develops. 

Reporting Structure:
Reports to Chief Operating Officer (located in San Francisco, California)

The main responsibilities of a DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS include:

• Manage local service providers, including respect to recruitment firms, office space leases, legal services, and other such providers as required
• Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the office, including facilities
• Ensure compliance with the local laws, legal and financial requirements
• Collaborate with global leaders to manage Philippines-based budgets
• Work closely with department and team leaders across different geographies to support the hiring and training of full-time and seasonal staff
• Drive employee engagement and retention to support planned growth and ensure high-performing operations
• Foster a work culture that values the performance, development, and well-being of our employees
• All other duties as assigned

 

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• A minimum of 8 years of proven success in a similar role – building and managing a business process operation; experience in financial data or financial research industry is a significant advantage
• Demonstrated ability in growing and managing teams, driving performance, consistently producing superior results, and cultivating ownership while enforcing company policies and applicable law
• Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally with senior levels in a global organization
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to be hands-on
• Excellent English oral and written skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Experience working with and negotiating with local service providers and local government units will be an advantage
