Functional Overview

    Our Australian client, a mid-tier accounting firm from Brisbane is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (Australian Tax) or SMSF accountant to join our team in Makati looking for fresh graduate accountants to join their team in Makati.About the roleAs an experienced accountant joining our team, you will be required to work independently attending to the tax compliance needs of our Australian SMSF and family business clients. You will also be required to assist the Makati based Australian manager with training and review work for graduate accountants in the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The main responsibilities of this role will include:
  • • Compilation of electronic workpapers and audit files
  • • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns
  • • Preparation of business activity statements (BAS)
  • • Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
  • • Compilation of journal entries
  • • Communication with Australian team members in respect of queries and review points

Minimum Qualification

  • About the Person
  • The role will suit an Accounting graduate with a client-centric work style, who is looking for the next step in their full-time career.
  • • At least 2 years of work experience in Australian Accounting.
  • • Australian accounting knowledge. In particular; a strong knowledge of superannuation legislation and tax compliance requirements for Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
  • • Previous work experience with BGL 360 or Class Super (desirable)

  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
