SENIOR SYSTEMS AND INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER (VMWARE AND CITRIX)

Functional overview

The Senior Systems Engineer with advanced Citrix experience is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of all types of systems and infrastructure.

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform exchange to office 365 migrations
• Implement and Troubleshoot Citrix Xendesktop, XenApp and netscalers
• Implement Windows 10 and Office pro plus 365
• Windows server, Domain Controller upgrades and migrations
• Work with Cisco UCS infrastructure, upgrades and optimizations
• Perform VMware vCenter and ESXi host upgrades
• Setup and configure Microsoft Intune and Azure MFA
• Create user documentation for deployments. Develop, organize and maintain standard operational procedures.
• Migrate infrastructure to the AWS or Azure
• Script solutions, when necessary, using PowerShell and other appropriate scripting languages
• To continuously improve on their knowledge around information security as it relates to their job and identifying and preventing phishing attempts

Minimum competencies

• Excellent English both Written and Oral
• Ability to work independently without intensive oversight – must be a go-getter and take initiative finding ways to avoid problems proactively rather than just fixing them after the fact
• Initiative and ability to research problems independently, finding root cause
• Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer training and documentation
• Excellent documentation skills
• More than 8 years’ experience highly desired
• Primary work hours would be business day EST
• Sometimes weekend work is required for cutovers and rollouts
• Remain vigilant while continuing to maintain and enhance the overall security of ECI and the client’s receiving our services.
