ART AT KMC

Curated by STEPHANIE FRONDOSO
OPENING May 14 | RUNS UNTIL, Aug 8, 2021

KMC Solutions in collaboration with Modeka Art is pleased to present its first pop-up exhibition at KMC Podium West Tower, featuring some of the most exciting Filipino and international contemporary artists who have exhibited at the gallery. By bringing art outside of the gallery setting and to wider audiences at the office space, this collaboration furthers our vision of building workplace environments “to inspire clients and employees to innovate, collaborate and achieve greatness.”

Art has a much deeper role in the workplace beyond the benefits of aesthetic beauty. When artworks leave the gallery walls and move to new environments, they take on new contexts. They create an atmosphere of dynamism by encouraging creativity, sparking conversations, providing new perspectives and boosting mental wellbeing, all of which improve professional performance. Within a workspace, they can enhance corporate identity and brand values and enrich the daily grind of the employee/visitor experience.  Art also connects its viewers with the greater community. Institutions that collect or display art are able to exercise a social responsibility in supporting culture. It is important to bring these multiple aspects of art to light, to bring awareness on how art can uplift society in different ways.

This selection from Modeka’s archives

This selection from Modeka’s archives forms a diverse collection, with myriad styles in painting, sculpture and photography.  They are the works of living artists—voices of the moment we are in. Installing them as intriguing juxtapositions brings energy and content to the vibrant design of KMC’s workspaces. One year into the pandemic, it is more relevant than ever to reinvigorate ways of working and thinking, and forge meaningful partnerships that tackle areas of common concern and collective identity.
